Hikvision (spelling: HIKVISION) is a Chinese provider of video surveillance products and solutions founded in 2001.

Overview

According to its own website as of 2018, the company employs over 20,000 people and is listed on the Shenzhen Stock Exchange. It is majority owned by the state.

In 2015, Hikvision had sales of $ 3.88 billion. This corresponds to a sales increase of 47 percent compared to the previous year.

Products

The "Darkfighter" product line includes IP cameras . The "Lightfighter" series is designed for situations with strong backlighting and can also be used for license plate recognition.
