Hilde Guddorf
Hilde Guddorf , née Hildegard Morgner (* July 5, 1907 , † November 5, 1980 in Berlin ) was a German resistance fighter and politician in the GDR .
Life
Hildegard Morgner's parents are Gertrud Morgner and Edwin Morgner , both of whom were co-founders of the KPD ; this made her a member of the workers' youth movement in Germany at a very early age. Morgner qualified professionally as a shorthand clerk.
As the stepdaughter of the KPD Reichstag member Emil Höllein and the wife of Wilhelm Guddorf , who was arrested in March 1934 and sentenced to three years in prison, she was an integral member of the resistance movement against the Nazi regime from 1933 onwards. So she hid a valuable Marxist library for months and kept in touch with Moscow. During the war, she did illegal work alongside Karl Frank - she had been divorced in 1942. She played a major role in the publication of the “Information Service” and secured the connection between the resistance groups around Robert Uhrig and Harro Schulze-Boysen as well as between the Berlin and Hamburg groups of the Rote Kapelle .
In the GDR she was a member of the district assembly of Berlin-Köpenick .
She was buried in the memorial of the socialists in the central cemetery Friedrichsfelde.
