Hildebrand Troll

Hildebrand Troll (* 1922 in Augsburg ; † 2011 ) was a German archivist .

Life

He studied history and philology from 1941 to 1947. On 15 March 1948 he was with the dissertation personality descriptions in historical literature the Staufer period at the University of Munich to Dr. phil. PhD . He then joined the Bavarian state archive service.

Troll was director of the Augsburg State Archives (1969–1976; at that time still based in Neuburg an der Donau), the Munich State Archives (1976–1980) and the Bavarian Main State Archives (1980–1987).
