Auxiliary ambulance

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Auxiliary ambulance vehicles (HKTW) are vehicles of the aid organizations , which mostly serve as a reserve to support the regular rescue and disaster control vehicles. As a rule, they do not correspond to any standard and are only used in the event of major damage or in the event of a catastrophe to transport injured persons as part of the MANV plan. The vehicles are sometimes also used for paramedics at events to transport patients or to have a treatment room. The number of auxiliary ambulances has decreased sharply in the last few decades.

Furnishing

As the name suggests, the HKTW are designed to provide support, so they do not always have the full equipment of a KTW (the equipment may vary depending on the federal state). Often they are equipped with a stretcher table and stretcher as well as a carrying chair . In addition, they usually have simple emergency medical equipment or medical equipment. These are usually an emergency case (one-case system) as well as oxygen, vacuum mattress and AED . The exact loading can vary depending on the specific application.
