Hillenberg is a hamlet in the municipality of Hausen / Rhön , a municipality in the upper Streutal on the eastern edge of the Rhön . It is located in Lower Franconia in the Lower Franconian district of Rhön-Grabfeld in northern Bavaria .

The hamlet of Hillenberg stands on historical ground. On a conical foothill northwest of Roth vor der Rhön - at the entrance to the Baringgau. Here stood at 658 m above sea level. NN once the Hildenburg which is considered a ruin .

In the hamlet stands the subsidiary church Maria, Hilfe der Christians (Hillenberg) which belongs to the parish of Hausen. It is part of the parish community Fladungen - Nordheim vor der Rhön in the diocese of Würzburg .
