history
Until the church is planted
The place was first mentioned in 855. The former office of the Hochstift Würzburg , which belonged to the Franconian Empire , was given to Archduke Ferdinand III in 1805 after secularization in 1803 in favor of Bavaria . (Tuscany) to form the Grand Duchy of Würzburg and finally fell to Bavaria in 1814 . In 1818 the political municipality was established.

Economy and Infrastructure
Economy including agriculture and forestry
In 1998, according to official statistics, there were no employees in the manufacturing sector and no employees in the trade and transport sector at the place of work. In other economic sectors 144 people were employed at the place of work subject to social security contributions. There were a total of 347 employees at the place of residence subject to social security contributions. There were three companies in the manufacturing sector and no companies in the main construction sector. In addition, in 1999 there were 22 farms with an agriculturally used area of 497 hectares, 167 hectares of which were arable land and 330 hectares of permanent green area.

Hausen
1517 is already in Hausen a church to St. George (Saint) ordained was. The current church was built in 1741.
Roth
In 1683 a new church was built in Roth, which was consecrated to St. Anthony of Padua in 1684 . In 1959 the foundation stone was laid for the current church, which was built on the same site. Roth has belonged to the parish of Hausen since 1958.
Hillenberg
The chapel “Maria, Hilfe der Christisten” on Hillenberg was consecrated in 1950.
Both places now belong to the Fladungen-Nordheim parish community.

Architectural monuments
Events
Hausen is the paddock and starting point for the international Hauenstein hill climb . A fan club has formed for the hill climb: Almost all of the local youth (and more) are organized in the doctors' crypt, which is also the name of the clubhouse. Parts of the organization (catering) are taken over by the members.
The race has been held since 1970, the track length is 4.2 km, making it the second longest hill climb in Germany. Since the return is conducted over a circuit that also includes the Hochrhönstrasse , 14.6 km are required for one pass.
Sports
Hausen has two sports facilities with Roth, and there are also sports facilities in the Rhön-Park-Hotel .
