The Sulzfelder Forest is a 2.54 km² large unincorporated community in the district of Rhön-grave field in the Bavarian grave field . The area is completely forested .

Wildberg ruins

The ruins of Wildberg or Wildenburg are located in the area of ​​the Sulzfeld Forest . It is located on a mountain spur projecting to the west and is cut off from the hinterland by three neck ditches. Only a few remains of masonry, including a cellar vault, have been preserved from the castle . The castle of the noble family, first mentioned in 1123, was destroyed in the Peasants' War in 1525 . The ruin is a protected architectural and ground monument .
