The Himalia Peak is a striking and around 650 m high mountain in the Ganymede Heights on Alexander I Island west of the Antarctic Peninsula . It rises in the middle of the Himalia Ridge .
The UK Antarctic Place-Names Committee named it in 2002 in connection with the mountain ridge of the same name after the Jupiter moon Himalia .
