The Himmelstalundshallen is an ice rink in the Swedish city of Norrköping , province of Östergötland County . The ice hockey club HC Vita Hästen from HockeyAllsvenskan , the second highest Swedish league, plays its home games in the hall. The hall was opened in 1977 and has space for 4,500 spectators. Its name refers to its location in the Norrköpinger recreational area Himmelstalund.
In addition to ice hockey, other sporting events and concerts take place in the hall. The group B preliminary round matches were played here at the 2003 European Basketball Championship . In 2011, preliminary round matches of the men's handball world championship took place in the hall .
