The Hindle Glacier is a 10 km long glacier on the north coast of South Georgia . From the area around Mount Paterson in the Salvesen Range it flows north to Royal Bay .
The South Georgia Survey mapped it between 1951 and 1952. Scientists of the British South Georgia Expedition (1954–1955) named it unofficially as the Bruce Glacier after the Scottish polar explorer William Speirs Bruce (1867–1921). The UK Antarctic Place-Names Committee named it in 1957 after the British zoologist Edward Hindle (1886-1973), honorary president of the Royal Geographical Society .
