The old and the new Hinkelhaus designate former inns near Thomm in the Trier-Saarburg district in Rhineland-Palatinate .

The Alt-Hinkelhaus ( location ) at 431 meters above sea level was near the Hinkelstein near Thomm and on the old post road between Ruwer and Hermeskeil . It existed from 1825 until the late 1970s.

According to Meyer's Orts- und Verkehrslexikon , the Alt-Hinkelhaus had four residents in 1912/1913 and the Neu-Hinkelhaus seven.

In September 1950 the Trierische Volksfreund reported about a damaging fire in Alt-Hinkelhaus, in which a barn and a house burned down. The neighboring house could be saved.

The Neu-Hinkelhaus ( location ) at 428 meters above sea level is on the state road 149 , which was completed as a road connection between Waldrach and Hermeskeil via Hinkelhaus and Osburg-Neuhaus in 1893.
