Hinrich Schniedewind

Hinrich Schniedewind (born June 22, 1928 - December 2009 ) was a German local politician.

Career

Schniedewind took on his first political mandate in 1956 in the Kührstedt municipal council , of which he was a member until 1996. In 1968 he was elected mayor of the municipality. Four years later he became district administrator of the district Wesermünde . After its dissolution on August 1, 1977 in the course of the district reform, he was deputy district administrator of the newly created district of Cuxhaven . In the district council he held the office of chairman of the CDU / FDP parliamentary group.

In 1980 he was awarded the Federal Cross of Merit for his commitment and his professional and personal judgment .
