Hitradio SKW (own spelling HITRADIO SKW ) is a private radio station that can be received in the Brandenburg districts of Dahme-Spreewald , Oder-Spree and Märkisch-Oderland , as well as in southeast Berlin. The station has a strong regional focus in the editorial program section and on its homepage. The organizer is rkw Radio Königs Wusterhausen GmbH & Co. KG with several commanders and partners, the general partner is rkw Radio Königs Wusterhausen Verwaltungs GmbH , which consists of several companies and private individuals.

The transmitter is located in Wildau in the immediate vicinity of the S-Bahn station. The VHF transmitter is located just under 2 km south (as the crow flies) in Königs Wusterhausen on a small concrete tower on Funkerberg at a height of 60 m.

The program offers music in the oldie-based Soft AC format with a high proportion of German-language music. The news on the full and half hour are supplemented by event tips, regional sports and reports on cultural events.

The broadcaster is targeting the affluent target group from 19 to 59 years of age, although they also want to have a positive response from listeners up to 70 years of age.

The program provider makes reference to German radio history on its homepage, which is established through the use of the historical transmitter location on Funkerberg in Königs Wusterhausen. So is z. For example, the Funkerberg Königs Wusterhausen Foundation is also involved in the transmitter as a limited partner and general partner of rKW Radio Königs Wusterhausen Verwaltungs GmbH .

The broadcasting operation began under the name Sender KW on September 1, 2005 with broadcasters in Königs Wusterhausen and the Rauener Mountains . The program could be heard as far as southeastern Berlin. On November 29, 2011, the station Lübben (Spreewald) was added. On December 1, 2011, the name was changed to Hitradio SKW. The VHF location in Lübben was given up in June 2015.

VHF transmitters are located in Königs Wusterhausen (105.1 MHz, 0.8 kW) and at the Rauener Berge transmitter (93.9 MHz). The program can also be received in the local cable networks and on the Internet in three different formats.
