Balther Dyroff

Balthasar Dyroff (born November 5, 1904 in Hofstetten ; † November 24, 1986 ) was a German Lutheran clergyman.

Life

Dyroff completed an apprenticeship as a druggist in Nuremberg between 1920 and 1923 and then worked as a druggist until 1926. From 1926 to 1928 he attended the religious teacher seminar in Nuremberg and was then from 1928 to 1932 religious teacher at the Nuremberg elementary schools. In 1932 he took the gifted test (instead of the Abitur) and began studying Protestant theology in Erlangen , which he completed in 1935. In 1935 he was parish administrator , from 1938 to 1946 pastor in Emetzheim and Holzingen in the Weißenburg-Gunzenhausen district .

In 1947 he became managing director of the Evangelical Relief Organization in Bavaria, in 1954 managing director of the regional association of the Inner Mission . Between 1958 and 1971 he was the regional pastor of the Inner Mission in Nuremberg and a councilor .

From January 1, 1968 to December 31, 1977 he was a member of the Bavarian Senate .
