Katsuyama Hitomi (born May 21, 1994 ) is a Japanese hammer thrower .

Athletic career

Katsuyama Hitomi gained her first international experience at the Junior Asian Championships 2012 in Colombo , where she finished fourth with 49.34 m. In 2017 she won the bronze medal at the Asian Championships in Bhubaneswar with 60.22 m, as well as at the 2018 Asian Games in Jakarta with 62.95 m behind the two Chinese Luo Na and Wang Zheng . At the Asian Championships in Doha in 2019 , she took fifth place with a width of 59.70 m.

In 2017 and 2018, Katsuyama became the Japanese hammer throw champion. She is a graduate of Physical Education from the University of Tsukuba .
