Hitotsuyanagi (clan)

The Hitotsuyanagi ( Japanese 一 柳氏 , Hitotsuyanagi-shi ) were a family of the Japanese sword nobility ( Buke ) , who came from the province of Mino . It was derived from Kōno Michinao ( 河野 道 直 ; † 1587).

genealogy

  • Naomori ( 直 盛 ; 1564-1636) received in 1590 from Toyotomi Hideyoshi for his services in the siege of Odawara the castle Kuroda in Owari province with an income of 30,000  Koku , which was increased in 1592 to 4566 Koku. After the Battle of Sekigahara , in 1601 he received Kambe Castle in the province of Ise with another 15,000 Koku. Shortly before his death he was transferred to Saijō ( province of Iyo ), where he only had to be content with a permanent house ( jin'ya ), but again received an additional 18,000 koku, so that he had a total income of 68,000 koku. His sons were:
    • Naoshige ( 直 重 ; 1598-1645) inherited Saijō with 30,000 koku.
      • Naooki ( 直 興 ; 1624-1702) took over after the death of his father Saijō with 25,000 Koku, which was withdrawn from him in 1665 because of neglect of duty.
    • Naoie ( 直 家 ; 1599–1642) received Ono in the province of Harima , also in a permanent house, with an income of 28,600 koku , which was reduced to 10,000 koku under his son Naotsugu ( 直 次 ; 1623–1659). His descendants resided here and were vice counts after 1868.
    • Naoyori ( 直 頼 ; 1602-1645), the third son, received in 1644 a permanent house in Shinyashiki ( 新屋 敷 村 , -mura ) in the province of Iyo, which was renamed Komatsu , with 10,000 koku. After 1868 Vice Count.
