The branch church of the Holy Cross is the Catholic village church of Wimpasing , a district of the municipality of Attenkirchen in Upper Bavaria . It was built in the 16th century on a rectangular plan.
On the north side of the church there is a crucifix from the 12th or first half of the 13th century. It shows a 62 centimeter high painted wooden figure of Jesus in the Romanesque style with feet standing parallel to each other. Contrary to later representations, his body does not yet bend to the side here.
