The Hobelsberg , also known as Ries'n , is the second highest point in the community of Frankenburg am Hausruck . The summit area and the north-eastern scree slope forest with an almost vertically sloping wall have been part of the 4.1 hectare Hobelsberg-Riesn nature reserve since 2005 with large occurrences of the wild moon viole , but also three-cut valerian , colored riding grass and deer tongue . Various amphibian species such as the yellow-bellied toad and fire salamander are also native to the area.
geography
The mountain is located in the western part of the community of Frankenburg am Hausruck, approx. 4 km from the center, on the eastern foothills of the Kobernaußerwald.
