The flood retention basin Krumme Grund I or Liethstaudamm is a flood retention basin on the river Krumme Grund (or Krumme-Grund-Bach), a tributary of the Pader in the catchment area of the Lippe . It is operated by the Upper Lippe Water Association. The so-called “Green Basin” without permanent traffic jams is located in the urban area of Paderborn in North Rhine-Westphalia .

The building material for the dam was patio gravel and stony loam. The seal consists of a clay core with an injection veil in the bedrock.

A road leads over the dam. There is a recreational area in the storage area.

There is a second, smaller dam "Krumme Basic II" a little further below the same waters at 51 ° 42 '53 "  N , 8 ° 47' 0"  O .
