Neuroth farm

Hof Neuroth is a castle building in the Westerwaldkreis between the municipalities of Bilkheim and Salz , northeast of Montabaur . It is the only moated castle in the Upper Westerwald. The four-story tower of the building, which cannot be visited, is striking.

history

The baroque style castle was built in 1664 by the Lords of Bramberg, but in 1682 it came into the possession of the Counts of Walderdorff . This family still owns the property today. She uses it as a residence and cultivates many fields in Bilkheim and the surrounding area.
