The Hofeshaus Altenloh , postal address Ischebecker Straße 13 , in the Ennepetal district of Altenvoerde is a listed half-timbered house . It was built in the 18th century.

The slate - roofed half - timbered house was the residential building of Hof Altenloh and is one of the oldest houses in Altenvoerde that have been preserved in their original state. The free-standing building is on a hillside above a pond and has a long driveway lined with trees.

The building is two-story and has a gable roof . Above the entrance there is a loading hatch with two windows on the left and right in the gable . The lattice windows have been renewed in plastic, but still have the Bergisch green shutters . There are suspensions above the windows .

history

As early as 1789, the court house was mentioned in the " Choragraphie von Schwelm - beginning and attempt at a topography of the county of Mark " by pastor Friedrich Christoph Müller. In the 19th century a small workshop was built on the south side, from which the company Altenloh, Brinck & Co emerged , the oldest screw factory in Germany (trade mark Spax ).

The best-known resident was Emilie Kiep-Altenloh , a member of the Bundestag and Senator of the Free and Hanseatic City of Hamburg .
