Hofmark Hofgiebing

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Hofmark Hofgiebing was an open Hofmark based in Hofgiebing , a district of the municipality of Obertaufkirchen in the Upper Bavarian district of Mühldorf am Inn .

The Hofmark belonged to the Electoral Chamberlain Franz Gustav Freiherr von Gobel. The property passed to Jakob von Frauenhofen, 1580 to the nobles of Haunsperg , 1620 to Duke Albrecht and 1627 to Friedrich von Hörwarth. By marriage, the Hofmark fell to the Fuggers , who owned it until 1804 and then passed it on to the Baroness von Moreau.

In 1849 the small renaissance castle was demolished, only the free-standing castle chapel is still preserved.
