The Hohe Schaar is a Hamburg Elbe island in the Wilhelmsburg district . Originally located between Süderelbe , Köhlbrand , Rethe and Reiherstieg , it is now part of the Port of Hamburg .

geography

In the north are on the Rethe Blumensandhafen and Kattwykhafen , on the west side to the south Elbe is the Hohe-Schaar-Hafen . Numerous port operations are located on the Hohen Schaar, including DHL Freight , various tank storage companies such as Oiltanking Tanklager Hamburg, DB Schenker and the BLG car terminal on the northern tip that forms the Kattwyk peninsula.

Transport links

The Hohe Schaar is connected to the north via the new Rethe bascule bridge , to the west via the Kattwyk Bridge and to the southeast via Hohe-Schaar-Straße.

The Hohe Schaar station of the Hamburg port railway is also located on the Hohen Schaar .
