The Hohe Warte is a hill near Engelskirchen , Oberbergischer Kreis , North Rhine-Westphalia , Germany . It is about 360 m high and is located about 3 km east of Engelskirchen and about 1 km south of the district of Ründeroth . At its top there is a lookout tower that was built by the Engelskirchen Beautification Association and from which, in good weather, you can see Cologne Cathedral , about 35 km away . Directly next to the observation tower is the Engelskirchen transmission tower , a mobile radio and VHF transmitter and television converter . There is also a fire brigade water tank there .
