The Hohenbökener See , called Sielingsee by the locals , is an inland lake in the municipality of Ganderkesee in the Oldenburg district in Lower Saxony . It is a little remote north of Bookholzberg near Stedinger Strasse ( B212 ), not far from the border with the Wesermarsch district and can only be reached via a 300 m long path.
The lake, which is already in the lower marsh , is used as a fishing and swimming lake. In the front, eastern part there is a 190 m long beach area with a jetty and gently sloping water. The water quality is checked regularly during the bathing season. On weekends, the DLRG takes over the bathing supervision.
The bathing area is limited by buoys, behind which the fishing area begins.
