The mountain Hohleite has a summit height of 385.8  m above sea level. NN and is part of the Eichsfeld-Hainich-Werratal Nature Park . It is located on the northern edge of the municipality of Krauthausen and on the eastern edge of the Werra valley around Creuzburg in the Wartburg district in Thuringia .

The fully wooded and forestry mountain is part of the "Lengröder wood". The Molkengraben , a tributary of the Madel, rises on its north side . There are several geological outcrops on the east side.
