Holger Frerichs

Holger Frerichs (born April 8, 1958 in Jever ) is a German paramedic and author.

Life

Frerichs spent his childhood and school time in Jever and graduated in 1979 from the Mariengymnasium Jever . After doing civil service in 1979/80 with the Friesland rescue service , he lived in Berlin-Kreuzberg until 1990 . There he completed an apprenticeship in the rescue service and in nursing. From 1991 to 2014 he worked as a full-time paramedic in the Friesland rescue service. He has lived in Varel since 1993 and has been part-time researching and documenting regional history since 1994. From 2015-2018 he was a member of the "Provenance Research" project at the Jever Castle Museum. In 2015 he was honored with the Friesland Taler, an award from the district of Friesland , for his commitment to regional research during the Nazi era .
