Holger Jung

Holger Jung (born December 1, 1953 in Hamburg ) is a German advertiser. He is co-founder of the Hamburg advertising agency Jung von Matt .

He studied law for six semesters in Hamburg and Munich. Politically, he was temporarily active in the Maoist KPD / ML . After completing his studies, he started his career at Lintas in 1977 . There he began as a media planner and consultant, took over marketing tasks from Unilever in 1980 , and after switching to advertising, he first became account director (Lintas, 1982) and then account supervisor ( Scholz & Friends , 1984). Between 1987 and 1991 he was partner and managing director for Springer & Jacoby in his hometown. Together with Jean-Remy von Matt , he founded his own advertising agency in 1991: Jung von Matt .

In 2002, Jung was inducted into the Hall of Fame of German Advertising together with von Matt . Jung was President of the General Association of Communication Agencies (GWA) from 2002 to 2008 and has been a professor at Wismar University since 2003 .

In 2012 Jung was appointed Honorary Consul of the Principality of Monaco . Its administrative districts are Hamburg, Bremen, Lower Saxony and Schleswig-Holstein.

Jung lives with his family in Hamburg.
