Holger Mühlenkamp

Holger Mühlenkamp (* 1958 in Verden (Aller) ) is a German economist and university professor .

Life

Mühlenkamp studied economics at the University of Hanover from 1977 to 1984, with interruptions for community service , and graduated with a degree in economics . In 1990 he was with the work expenditure in the statutory health insurance at the University of Lüneburg to Dr. rer. pole. PhD. The habilitation at the University of Lüneburg took place in 1997 with the thesis An economic analysis of selected institutional arrangements for the fulfillment of public tasks .

In 1998 Mühlenkamp accepted the professorship for economics of social services at the University of Hohenheim in Stuttgart , followed by a call to the chair for public business administration at the German University of Administrative Sciences in Speyer in 2003 . In 2017 Mühlenkamp was appointed rector of the university.

Research priorities

Mühlenkamp deals with public accounting, the profitability of public projects and institutions, public companies, public-private partnerships and result-oriented remuneration systems. He used to work intensively in the field of health economics.
