The Holiday Inn Hotel on Hamburg's Elbbrücken is the second largest hotel in Hamburg .

history

The building was built in 1995. Initially it was called the Forum Hotel and belonged to the InterContinental chain , whose former British parent company Bass Leisure Group operated 2,900 hotels worldwide. In 2002, Holiday Inn took over the hotel. After the Holiday Inn Munich City Center, it is the second largest Holiday Inn in Germany.

Location and size

The hotel is located in the Rothenburgsort district . It is located directly on the Norder-Elbbrücken, which merge into the federal highway 255 , which in turn leads to the federal highway 1 .

The hotel has been awarded four stars and has 385 rooms and 19 air-conditioned function rooms.

The rooms are divided into four equipment groups: from the standard rooms with 22 m², through the standard plus rooms on the 3rd to 11th floors and the extensively equipped executive rooms on the 12th to 16th floors up to the 54 m² to 77 m² large suites located on the 16th to 18th floors.

With its 75 meters, the building towers over the buildings in the area and is a landmark for this urban area. The highest golf course in Hamburg is located on the roof of the hotel . Since 1999, an annual tournament has been tied off from there. The holes are in the neighboring Elbpark Entenwerder . Architecturally, the hotel is a special feature because of its own jetty and the directly adjacent park.
