Hollywood Boulevard
The Hollywood Boulevard is an intra-regional road in Los Angeles . The boulevard is located in the eponymous district of Hollywood and begins at Sunset Boulevard at the corner of Hilhurst Avenue and N Virgil Avenue ( ) and then runs 500 meters northwest to Vermont Avenue . Then head west about 7 km to Laurel Canyon Boulevard . To the west of it it leads as a small residential street another 3 km into the hills and finally ends at Sunset Plaza Drive ( ).
From 1887 to 1910 the boulevard was called Prospect Avenue . Other Hollywood Boulevards are in Hollywood, Florida and Las Vegas .
On April 4, 1985, part of the boulevard was added to the National Register of Historic Places as a Historic District under the name Hollywood Boulevard Commercial and Entertainment District .
