Holmsjön is the largest lake in the historic Swedish province of Medelpad , which is part of Norrland . It is located west of Ånge and is part of the Ljungan river system. Depending on the water level, the lake is at 240 m to 245 m above sea level. The lake is popular with anglers because it contains a wide variety of species, including perch , pike , whitefish , trout , burbot , roach and aland .
