The Holtet Nunatak is an approximately 1300 m high nunatak in the west Antarctic Ellsworthland . It rises 3 km northeast of the Grossenbacher Nunatak in the group of the Lyon Nunatakker .
The Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names named it in 1988 after the Norwegian atmospheric physicist Jan Anstein Holtet from the University of Oslo , who worked at the Siple station from 1970 to 1971 .
