Model region Berlin forest and wood
A BiBB project is investigating how the quality of training and further education can be improved along the forest - wood - value chain . It is also being investigated how sustainability can be more integrated into training and further education than before. The Society for Vocational Training Measures eV (GFBM) in Berlin has set up a production school in Grunewald in coordination with the Berlin Forests . Woodworking mechanics have been trained in a sawmill since 2007. The establishment of the training and qualification center was funded by the Berlin Senate with around 280,000 euros.
