The Zeesen wooden transmission tower was a 70 meter high timber lattice tower on the short-wave transmission system in Zeesen . This tower, which was made of pitch pine , was erected in 1931 and carried two omnidirectional antennas for shortwave on four arms offset by 90 degrees on its top. It was one of the first transmission towers for shortwave broadcasting in Germany.
In 1939 this tower was dismantled and replaced by a 70 meter high steel mast with a papal finger . Like all the towers of the former Zeesen short-wave transmitter, the latter was dismantled in 1945.
