Homberg-Bracht-Bellscheidt
Homberg-Bracht-Bellscheidt was a municipality in the Düsseldorf-Mettmann district in North Rhine-Westphalia until 1967 . The area of the former municipality is now part of the city of Ratingen in the Mettmann district .
Geography and history
The rural community Homberg-Bracht-Bellscheidt had existed in the Düsseldorf district since the 1840s . It belonged to the mayor's office of Eckamp and consisted of the three old Bergisch monks Homberg, Bracht and Bellscheidt . With the exception of the church village Homberg, the community consisted exclusively of individual farms.
Since 1930 the community has belonged to the Ratingen-Land office , which has been called the Angerland office since 1950 .
On April 1, 1967, the community was merged with the neighboring community of Meiersberg to form the new community of Homberg-Meiersberg . Homberg-Meiersberg, in turn, was divided into the cities of Ratingen , Heiligenhaus and Mettmann by the Düsseldorf law on January 1, 1975 . The area of the old municipality of Homberg-Bracht-Bellscheidt fell almost entirely to Ratingen.
