Eckamp Mayor's Office

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The mayor's office Eckamp , last called Amt Eckamp , was a mayor's office in the Düsseldorf and Düsseldorf-Mettmann districts of the Prussian Rhine Province until 1930 .

history

When administrative structures based on the French model were introduced in the Grand Duchy of Berg in 1809, the Mairie (mayor's office) Eckamp was set up in the Düsseldorf arrondissement of the Rhine department . After the Rhineland fell to Prussia in 1815 , Eckamp's mayor's office continued to exist in the Düsseldorf district . It included the old Bergisch honnships Bellscheidt, Bracht, Eckamp, Homberg, Hösel, Eggerscheidt and Rath located around the city of Ratingen . Since the introduction of the municipal code for the Rhine Province in 1845, the mayor's office has consisted of the five rural communities Eckamp , Eggerscheidt , Homberg-Bracht-Bellscheidt , Hösel and Rath . The seat of the mayor's office was at today's corner of Hauser Ring and Mülheimer Strasse in Ratingen.

The municipality of Rath left the mayor's office in Eckamp in 1899 and was raised to its own mayor's office. On April 1, 1909, Rath was incorporated into the city of Düsseldorf.

Since 1927 the mayorships of the Rhine Province, like the rest of Prussia, have been designated as offices and since August 1, 1929 the Eckamp office has belonged to the new district of Düsseldorf-Mettmann . On May 15, 1930, the Eckamp office was dissolved. The municipality of Eckamp was incorporated into the city of Ratingen, the municipalities Eggerscheidt and Hösel came to the new Ratingen-Land office and the municipality of Homberg-Bracht-Bellscheidt came to the Hubbelrath office .
