Honda Automobile (China) was a manufacturer of automobiles from the People's Republic of China .
Company history
The company was founded in Guangzhou in September 2003 . Participated Honda with 65%, the Guangzhou Automobile Industry Group with 25% and Dongfeng Motor Corporation with 10%. In April 2005 the production of automobiles began. The brand name was Honda . The vehicles were exclusively exported. The plant had an annual capacity of 50,000 vehicles and employed 751 people.
Guangqi Honda Automobile announced in March 2020 that it would acquire the company on April 1, 2020. Thereafter it will operate as the Guangzhou Development District Factory of GAC Honda .
