The Honda RC162 is a racing motorcycle from the Japanese motorcycle manufacturer Honda from 1961.

The machine was, among others, Mike Hailwood down, the order in the motorcycle world championship in 1961 cc in the class to 250 displacement the world title won. The RC162 was the revised successor to the Honda RC161 . Kunimitsu Takahashi was the first Japanese to win a world championship run at the 1961 German Grand Prix at the Hockenheimring . The Honda RC162 was also used successfully on the Isle of Man TT in 1961 by Mike Hailwood ; the first time that a Japanese manufacturer has ever won this race. The fairing of the Honda was made of aluminum. The original Takahashi that was not for sale is now in the Honda Museum.
