Model history
The XL200R (factory-internal MD06) appeared in model year 1982. This version was sold in Germany for 2 years.
In model year 1985, the XL200R received a disc brake at the front and got the design of the larger models XL350R and XL600R.
From 1986 it was produced in Italy, now there were versions with an electric starter and "Paris-Dakar models" (tank 16 liters). Many of the 200's manufactured in Italy were brought to Germany on a private basis and registered.
From 1998 to 2010 the XL200R was manufactured in Brazil. The engine was slightly changed (bore / stroke 63.5 × 62.2) and always has an electric starter. The XL200R produced in Brazil was sold in large numbers to aid organizations by the Danish company Kjaer, but not to private individuals.
Zurl The biggest difference was the use of a mono shock absorber that the honda internal designation Pro-Link carries. The manufacturer is Shōwa Corporation .
