The Honores Rock (in Chile Islote Honores ) is a cliff rock in the archipelago of the South Shetland Islands . In Discovery Bay on Greenwich Island, it rises 800 m southwest of Ferrer Point 2 m above sea level.
Participants of the 2nd Chilean Antarctic Expedition (1947–1948) named him after Arsenio Honores, the cook of their ship Iquique . Translated into English, the form first appeared on a 1968 Royal Navy map .
