Honorius Aigner

Honorius Aigner (* 1651 in Eferding ; † July 24, 1704 in Kremsmünster ) was an Austrian Benedictine and abbot of the Kremsmünster Monastery .

Life

Aigner was born in Eferding in 1651. In 1680 he became a teacher of philosophy. From 1685 to 1696 he was a professor of morality and speculative theology at the University of Salzburg . 1688–1689 he was dean of the theological faculty in Salzburg. He was elected Abbot of Kremsmünster in 1703 . He held this office until his death the following year. He died on July 24, 1704 in Kremsmünster.
