Hoofdklasse (women's football)

The Hoofdklasse is the second highest division in Dutch women's football . It was replaced in the summer of 2007 by the Eredivisie as the top division, which in turn was replaced in 2012 by the Belgian-Dutch BeNe League . In Dutch men's football, the Hoofdklasse is the fourth highest division.

In the course of a season, each team plays twice against each other team. So each team has 18 games in one season. The last two teams have to be relegated, promotion to the BeNe League is not possible.
