The hop growers or hops farmer has proven to be a farmer in the cultivation and harvesting of hops specialized.
In the past, hops were grown almost everywhere in Germany. This ensured fast delivery to the end customer, the breweries . Due to an improvement in the transport system, however, the cultivation was limited to areas with a favorable climate and soil. Therefore this profession is only widespread in the hop-growing areas. In Germany, these include the Hallertau , Tettnang , Spalt , Hersbruck and Elbe-Saale .
