Hops & Huper (Original title: Toot & Puddle) is American - Canadian animated series , which was produced between 2006 and 2009 . It is based on the books of the same name by Holly Hobbie.

Hops and Huper are two pigs who live in a house in the woods. Although they have different personality traits, they both like each other very much and have a close friendship. However, one day Huper decides to go and travel the big wide world. Hops, however, does not want this because he thinks it is best at home. Both experience different situations on their way and deal with different things. After a year, however, Huper gets homesick and decides to return home. Hops is very happy about this and has a party.
Production and broadcast
The series was made between 2006 and 2009 in American-Canadian production. This resulted in 52 episodes. Directed by Harold Ramis, the script was written by Holly Hobbie and Stu Krieger. The series was commissioned for National Geographic Kids . The responsible production companies are Grand Slamm Children's Films and Mercury Filmworks. The music was composed by Colin Towns.
The series first aired on Noggin in the United States and on Treehouse TV in Canada. The German premiere took place on December 24, 2007 on Das Erste . Further broadcasts were also made on KiKA and Nickelodeon . In addition, the Christmas film Toot and Puddle - The adventurous Christmas journey (original title: Toot & Puddle: I'll Be Home for Christmas) was produced.
