supporting documents

Hormin is best known from the remains of his grave in Saqqara . This grave was located by the Lepsius expedition in the 19th century . Its exact location has since been lost again.

Lost property

Blocks from his burial chapel ended up in various museums around the world in the 19th century. A relief is now in the Louvre and shows Hormin in front of Seti I, who stands in the so-called window of apparition and rewards the official with gold. Different blocks are in Cairo , they show Hormin and his wife May in front of different deities and before Hathor , who appears here as a tree goddess and gives water to both of them. Another block shows the funeral ceremonies. There is also a statue of Hormin on which the name of Ramses II is mentioned. The official is perhaps also called the King and the Goddess in the New Egyptian tale .
