The Horseshoe Bay ( English for " horseshoe is -Bay") is a small bay on the north side of Cape Royds on the Antarctic Ross Island .
It was discovered by participants in the Discovery Expedition (1901-1904) led by the British polar explorer Robert Falcon Scott . It is named after its shape.
