Horst Deussing
Horst Deussing (born July 9, 1927 ) was a German football player. In 1951 he played for Stahl Altenburg in the GDR Oberliga , the highest league in GDR football .
Athletic career
In the 1951/52 season, the 24-year-old Horst Deussing belonged to the top division squad of the company sports association (BSG) Stahl in Altenburg , which went into its third season as a founding member of the nationwide East German top division. The newcomer Deussing could not find his way in the unfamiliar environment and was only used in two league games by the coach Herbert Klemig . On the 6th matchday he was substituted on in the away game against Turbine Erfurt (final score 0-0) in the 70th minute for left winger Friedhelm Seifarth . Two game days later, Deussing came into play in the 75th minute for the half-left striker Gerd Herold , which ended with a 0-1 defeat at Chemie Leipzig . After that, Deussing was no longer used in the league.
