Horst Haase (politician)
Horst Haase (* 26. October 1933 in Königsberg (Prussia) ; † 19th June 2019 ) was a German politician of the SPD .
Haase was a lawyer by profession. He was a member of the Bavarian State Parliament from 1962 to 1974 . From 1972 to 1987 Haase was a member of the German Bundestag . In 1972 he was the only SPD politician to win a direct mandate in the Fürth constituency . In the other electoral terms, Haase was elected to the Bundestag via the Bavarian state list. From January 19, 1977 to July 16, 1979 Haase was also a member of the European Parliament . On June 18, 1975, Haase was awarded the Bavarian Order of Merit .
