Horst Hellmann
Horst Hellmann (born March 20, 1929 in Siegen ; † April 30, 2010 ibid) was a German local politician. On October 28, 2004, he was awarded the Federal Cross of Merit, First Class .
Act
Hellmann was active in local politics in Siegen since 1966 , a. a. in the field of urban renewal , the rededication of former military areas in civil projects, the implementation of a congress center and numerous town houses. During his time on the board of directors of Sparkasse Siegen, he introduced the “golden savings book” and a foundation for art and culture. In his office as church master he was entrusted with the administration of finances and the technical support of the construction work of the Evangelical Nikolai parish in Siegen. Hellmann was a member of the SPD and belonged to the Siegen local association of the Arbeiterwohlfahrt . Since 2007 he has been a member of the senior citizens' council of the city of Siegen.
